The Telangana government, Cisco and Mtuity have come together to plan Hyderabad Smart City by identifying relevant technology interventions/use cases. Under the memorandum of understanding signed with the state government here on Thursday, the two companies will implement the pilot project near the bustling Hitech City to showcase real benefit of implementing smart solutions and the impact of technology on society and human well-being. The MoU was signed by the officials of the state government and representatives of the two companies in the presence of Telangana’s Information Technology Minister K.T. Rama Rao. Cisco India MD Purushottam Kaushik, Telangana’s IT Secretary Jayesh Ranjan, and Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) Commissioner Janardhan Reddy were present at the MoU signing.
The use cases proposed to be implemented during the pilot project include smart WiFi, smart parking, enforcement to detect no-parking violations, smart lighting, smart transport, smart kiosks, remote expert governance services, citizen services portal and citizen app.
