Congress party staged a protest against Secunderabad Cantonment Board’s move to demolish hundreds of houses to pave the way for construction of road at Annanagar.TPCC official spokesperson Manne Krishank along with other Congress leaders and activists staged a hunger strike in protest against the Board’s action. Krishank said they were not against development, but the people ousted should be rehabilitated. He recalled that the Chief Minister had in the past promised to adopt Annanagar. Speaking on the occasion, TJAC chief Prof Kodandaram extended his support to the aggrieved.
